1st AABIP Research Award Recipient

The American Association of Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology is pleased to announce the winner of the 1st AABIP Research Award: Dr. Lonny Yarmus of John Hopkins School of Medicine.

Dr. Yarmus is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care Medicine and Sleep at John Hopkins. He completed his Interventional Pulmonology fellowship at the John Hopkins Hospital where he now serves as the program director of the Interventional Pulmonology fellowship program. His research proposal, “Airway Stenosis after Undergoing Lung Transplantation,” focuses on elucidating the etiology of post-lung transplant anastomotic complications. In the future, we hope to be able to provide Research Awards to our top two submissions.

We encourage all young investigators to submit their research proposals for 2013 – 2014 via the AABIP website.

Sincerely,
Ali I. Musani MD
